3 TABLES is a more intermediate place to go snorkeling on the North Shore and is NOT recommended for children. It is right beside Sharks Cove. ( Like Sharks Cove it is best to snorkel between the months of April-September only) Occasionally in October depending on the Surf conditions. Check here for conditions on the North Shore: www.surfnewsnetwork.com, only go on days that wave faces are 0-3ft to be safe. There is a slight tide, current and deep water between the 3 small flat islands and this is where the name 3 Tables comes from. Inside the bay area before reaching beyond the 3 table islands there is an extensive array of sea life. You can choose to snorkel around the 3 tables but I wouldn’t go any further. Stay within the bay or around the islands. Around and between the 3 tables the depth can reach between 20-30 feet. Snorkeling in areas where there are no lifeguards takes some extra preparedness so be knowledgeable of the location before entering the water. I can only give you so much info. Always be prepared incase of strong currents. I enjoy 3 Tables because of the open feel and lack of tourists. The Reef system here at 3 Tables is a HEALTHLY ONE. This means EVERYTHING and the kitchen sink lives here. Watch where you put your hands and feet…Everything is alive here and if you touch or step on someone’s home that someone will ATTACK you! From Sea Urchins, Moray eels to Lion and Scorpion Fish there are hidden dangers you must be aware of. It’s common sense not to …
